India’s Sathiyan and Manika reach highest rank 10 in mixed doubles category

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Manika Batra from India reaches their highest world ranking of 10 in the latest ITTF rankings for mixed doubles category. Currently the mixed double pair have reached 909 ITTF ranking points and they have done solid in their recent tournaments.

Indian table tennis keeps on getting stronger and India is producing more number of table tennis athletes in recent years.

Perfectly complementing each other in their game styles, the combination of Manika Batra and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran is one to reckon with and they are the big hopes for India at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as well, in the Mixed Doubles event.

Currently Manika Batra is training with Sathiyan in Chennai for future world table tennis events. Manika told in a recent interview:

Primary objective is to get more training time with Sathiyan

The next series of events they would be participating include WTT Muscat, WTT Singapore 2022 Grand Smash, which is having a whopping winning price of 2 Million USD. We wish the pair best of luck for the future tournaments.
