Achanta Sharath Kamal in Semi Finals of Oman Open

ITTF Oman Open semi finals, India’s Achanta Sharath Kamal and Harmeet desai are going to face Kirill Skachkov and Portugal’s Marcos Freitas respectively. ITTF Oman open is the final event before the ITTF events suspension due to coronavirus - COVID-19.

In Women’s Singles, Japan’s Sato Hitomi, Hashimoto Honoka, Kato Miyu all have progressed to semi final. Mongolia Yang Xiaoxin will have a match against Kato Miyu.

ITTF Oman Open Day 4 was action packed with the biggest upset by Tristan Flore(France) defeating Jonathan Groth in an epic 7 set showdown.

• Harmeet Desai versus Spain’s Alvaro Robles (11-9, 11-5, 11-8, 8-11, 11-1)
• India’s Achanta defeated Finland’s Benedek Olah (11-7, 10-12, 11-3, 11-8, 11-6)
• Portugal’s Marcos Freitas defeated Wang Yang 4-0. He also defeated Pistej Lubomir (11-4, 11-4, 11-5, 11-0)
• Russia’s Kirill Skachkov defeated GERASSIMENKO Kirill of Kazakistan in an epic 7 set match. 4-3

Womens’ Category

• Monaco’s Yang Xiaoxin defeated fellow European Yuan Jia Nan (11-4, 11-4, 11-9, 11-5)
• Slovakia’s Barbora Balazova, lost out to the no.3 seed and veteran Miyu Kato (11-3, 9-11, 11-4, 11-1, 11-7)
• Luxembourg’s Sarah De Nutte fell to Hitomi Sato (11-4, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5)
