
Indian paddler Sathiyan Gnanasekaran clinched the men’s singles crown at the WTT Feeder Vientiane 2025 held at the ITECC Mall, Laos, with a flawless performance in the final against Japan’s top seed Ryoichi Yoshiyama.
Ranked 99th in the world, Sathiyan stunned the higher-ranked Yoshiyama (WR 95) in straight games, wrapping up the title clash in just over 25 minutes.

This title marks Sathiyan’s second WTT Feeder singles crown, following his win at the WTT Feeder Beirut 2024, where he defeated compatriot Manav Thakkar in the final.
The Vientiane triumph comes shortly after Sathiyan, alongside Akash Pal, lifted the men’s doubles title at WTT Contender Lagos 2025 with a straight-games win over French pair Jules Rolland and Leo De Nodrest.
The $30,000 WTT Feeder Vientiane tournament (August 11–15, 2025) provided not only crucial ranking points but also reaffirmed Sathiyan’s position as one of India’s most consistent and versatile paddlers.
