Waldner Cup Rescheduled to 2024 | On a bigger Scale

The much awaited Waldner Cup is postponed to 2024 which is set to feature a star packed teams from Asia vs World. The event will be captained by Ma Long for Team Asia & Jan Ove Waldner for Team World. Read More About the event here.

The Walder Cup & Esports Gaming

Apart from table tennis, the Waldner Cup will have a Legends Cup, which was also going to have eSports event which will feature the famous Dota 2 LAN gaming event. Called the Legends Cup, the event will have a prize pool of $100,000 (~£82,000) and feature the likes of The International winners Alliance and renowned Asian team LGD Gaming. The tournament will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, and will be supported by esports data company GRID and Black Molly Entertainment.

The esports handling company, GRID will host a 3-day live DOTA2 cup.

What’s coming in 2024

With events like eSports gaming as part of Legends cup, this is a different sort of exposure to table tennis. And certainly, the table tennis world is looking forward to such an amazing event & the great part is that it will be on a much bigger scale. This is a good things for table tennis and for the fans. 🤩
