Dignics 09c is one of the new inventions from the premium brand of Butterfly, currently used by top players around the world. Previously Tenergy used to be the go to rubber for almost any player but with the transition of Table tennis balls to plastics, the table tennis dynamics have changed. The game has become comparatively less spinny and requires lot of body strength to generate spin. Hence the rubbers are required to be tacky to generate more spin. For this reason, the DHS Hurricane 3 Neo was becoming more popular than any another rubber. Butterfly came with an answer with an amazing rubber, Dignics 09c.
Dignics 09C has a slightly sticky surface which enables it to have much greater spin than any of the other Butterfly rubbers. This makes it ideal for serve, return and short play, as well as looping. At pro level, this rubber is very popular. German Legend Timo Boll changed both forehand and Backhand rubbers from Tenergy 05 to Dignics 09C on his TImo Boll ALC blade. Dimitrij Ovtcharov uses Dignics 09c as well.
“I’m very happy to play with this rubber, because this is for sure the best rubber I ever had”
- Timo Boll
The cost of single sheet of Butterfly Dignics 09c is $96.99. If you add the two sheets of Butterfly Dignics 09c with a blade like Zhang Jike Super ZLC, Timo Boll ALC, Mizutani Jun ZLC, Lin Gaoyuan ALC, you will probably end up with spending atleast $400-500 and that’s a lot of money to be spent. Hence most of the emerging players consider going for pocket friendly alternative of Dignics 09c. In this article, we will talk about few alternatives of Dignics 09c
