Anders Lind road to victory WTT Feeder Olomouc 2023

Anders Lind faced many tough challenges from many strong players in the tournament. Anders came in the tournament as the fourth seed. Top Seed Simon Gauzy from France lost against fellow Frenchmen Lilin Bardet. Let’s look at Anders journey in the tournament -

  • Starting with Tomas Polansky in Round of 64 whom he beat 3-0 in all close games.
  • In Round of 32, he beat Chinese player Niu Guankei in a set-score of 3-0.
  • He faced a major challenge in Round of 16 against China’s Zhao Zihao whom he defeated 3-2 in a hard fought battle.
  • In Quaterfinal, he faced Portugal Joao Geraldo who has been performing really well in recent tournaments. He won that game with a 3-1 scoreline.
  • In the semifinal, he fought Belgium’s Martin Allegro who has been climbing the top 100 rankings. Initially Martin dominated Anders but in second half, Anders was on fire and won the game 3-2.
  • In the final, Anders defeated China’s Penholder Xue Fei in a 3-1 score and claimed his very first WTT title.

Wow, what an amazing feeling! Winning my first-ever WTT tournament with a road to the first place that required beating 3 Chinese players, as well as other great players. It was a great tournament where I managed to find the perfect mental state to stay focused, instead of becoming negative as I sometimes tend to do. Thanks for all the support and all the messages I have received during and after the tournament. I appreciate it a lot!
