Do you know about Laver Cup in Tennis? The cup named after Tennis Legend Rod Laver, the event is an international tennis tournament between Team Europe and Team World. Now in table tennis, there is a Waldner cup in Table Tennis named after the Legend which will be held between 23-26 November, 2023.

About Waldner Cup

The Waldner Cup brings together renowned table tennis players from all over the world to challenge the best players from Asia. Team World will be led by legendary world champion Jan Ove Waldner. Don’t miss out on this unique and exciting tournament, with an ambitious goal of bringing the world together for dialogue and collaboration.

Teams in Waldner Cup

In tennis, Europe is most dominant and hence the Laver cup is between Team Europe vs Team World. In table tennis, Asia is most dominant and hence the competition is between Team World vs Team Asia at Waterfront Congress Centre, Stockholm, Sweden.

Team World will be led by the Captain Jan Ove Waldner. And Team Asia will be led by China’s Ma Long. This will be a delightful event for table tennis fans as teams are led by two of the most loved table tennis players of all time. Hopefully we might be able to see a match up of Ma Long vs Jan Ove Waldner.
