ASICS is one the top selling brands in sports footwear, lots of runners, tennis players such as Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek use ASICS shoes. The quality of ASICS products are superb and lots of badminton players also use the ASICS shoes. I recently bought a couple of ASICS shoes(ASICS Gel Rocket 10 and ASICS Dedicate 7) and used them to play table tennis as well. In this review I will share my experience with ASICS Gel Rocket 10, which I feel is by far a superior product for table tennis as well.
My first impression after wearing this shoes was “Nice and comfortable”. For me, this is really important that the shoe is really comfortable on toe. Table Tennis requires lot of small sidewise movement and this shoe certainly helps with that.

If I compare these with my older butterfly shoes, they were lighter than the ASICS Gel Rocket but they were certainly not of this high quality. Personally to me, the weight didn’t even bother me while playing and I believe this is something ASICS have engineered with their GEL technology. The primary usecase of GEL Rocket 10 is badminton and I certainly liked this shoe for table tennis as well. Playing on wooden and synthetic courts using these shoes will outperform any other shoes. If ASICS reduce the weight of this shoes by 25-30gms, this will become the hottest product for table tennis fans.

This is premium quality product, if you can afford it then you will love this product. One key area where this shoe is superior to other shoes is that you can use it for badminton as well.
ASICS Gel Rocket 10, is certainly an amazing product and can be used by table tennis players.
