Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto finally climbed the top step at the WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, producing a composed and aggressive performance to defeat Sweden’s Truls Möregårdh 4–2 in the Men’s Singles final at the Hong Kong Coliseum.

The Round of 32 at Malmö produced high drama on both the Men’s and Women’s side.
Sweden’s Truls Moregard kept local hopes alive with a gritty win, while Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu put in commanding performances in the women’s draw.

In the STUPA European Table Tennis Championships, 2023 in Malmö Arena, Swedish Men’s team has won Men’s Team Table Tennis Gold after defeating Germany. This is the 15th title for Sweden table tennis team. Jörgen Persson, head coach of Sweden said before the competition that he wants to end the 21 year draught of the title and this is a major achievement by Sweden after a very long time.
