2022 has been an year of amazing table tennis action with so many WTT events and millions of dollars in prizes. Lots of players have made impact in 2022 with a series of championships wins and upsets. It seems like young players are now taking over the older generation with so many promising players in the top 10 list. Below are the top ranked players in 2022 -

Almost every 10 years, we see a new batch of players. Lots of excitement with a new era of players, new playing styles and some interesting techniques as well. There was a time when Chinese team stars like Ma Lin, Wang Hao, Wang Liqin retired and future of Chinese table tennis was handed over to the likes of Zhang Jike, Ma Long, Xu Xin, Fang Bo, Yan An etc and they changed the dominance of Chinese table tennis to a whole new level.

The men’s world cup #RESTART has been a treat to all the table tennis fans around the world. Day 3 bring sthe closure of the Dishang 2020 ITTF Men’s World cup with World No. 1 Fan Zhendong as the champion. Congratulations to the no. 1 seed and now four time World Cup Winner. In the ITTF Qatar Open round of 32, Taipei Chuang Chih-Yuan(38 years old) defeated Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto for the third time in just 2 months. The biggest upset was obviously caused by Table Tennis Legend, Vladimir Samsonov.

2020 ITTF Hungarian Open has concluded and Tomokazu Harimoto and Mima Ito gained victory in Men’s and Women’s event in Budapest on Sunday.
