It is now time for ITTF Grand Finals or ITTF Finals this year. The year events were cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with only three events having taken place. The ITTF World Tour Grand Finals were replaced by the 2020 ITTF Finals, a one-off event featuring the top-ranked male and female players, as part of the International Table Tennis Federation’s #RESTART series of events in November 2020. Just after the Dishang 2020 ITTF World Cup, the next event is the Bank of Communications 2020 ITTF Finals.

The men’s world cup #RESTART has been a treat to all the table tennis fans around the world. Day 3 bring sthe closure of the Dishang 2020 ITTF Men’s World cup with World No. 1 Fan Zhendong as the champion. Congratulations to the no. 1 seed and now four time World Cup Winner. This event was more special because of insightful commentary from England Top Player Liam Pitchford.

PlayforIndia Table Tennis initiative is championed by CWG gold medalists Ajantha Sharath Kamal and G. Sathiyan and Olympian Neha Aggarwal. These champions have inspired the next generation of Table Tennis in India and have been instrumental in keeping the Indian flag flying high in the world of Table Tennis. They are teaming up with the GoSports Foundation, an independent non-governmental not-for-profit organization, to champion this cause. The campaign, in partnership with GoSports Foundation , aims to raise Rs 10 lakh and each of the 100 identified people will receive Rs 10000 each.

India’s Highest Ranked Table Tennis Star Sathiyan Gnanasekaran having broken into the top 25 of the ITTF rankings in 2019, making him the first Indian table tennis player to do so, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran was in good form coming into the year. The 27-year-old can customize the machine to his liking and its ability to spew out more than 100 balls each minute at varying speeds and spin ties in well with his fluid movement behind the table.
