Day 3 bring sthe closure of the Dishang 2020 ITTF Men’s World cup with World No. 1 Fan Zhendong as the champion. Congratulations to the no. 1 seed and now four time World Cup Winner. PlayforIndia Table Tennis initiative is championed by CWG gold medalists Ajantha Sharath Kamal and G. Sathiyan and Olympian Neha Aggarwal. These champions have inspired the next generation of Table Tennis in India and have been instrumental in keeping the Indian flag flying high in the world of Table Tennis. They are teaming up with the GoSports Foundation, an independent non-governmental not-for-profit organization, to champion this cause. The campaign, in partnership with GoSports Foundation , aims to raise Rs 10 lakh and each of the 100 identified people will receive Rs 10000 each.

India’s Highest Ranked Table Tennis Star Sathiyan Gnanasekaran having broken into the top 25 of the ITTF rankings in 2019, making him the first Indian table tennis player to do so, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran was in good form coming into the year. The 27-year-old can customize the machine to his liking and its ability to spew out more than 100 balls each minute at varying speeds and spin ties in well with his fluid movement behind the table. Sathiyan shared a video on his official Instagram -

China’s Zhang Jike is major player in the history of table tennis to achieve a career Grand Slam when he won gold in men’s singles at the Olympic games in London 2012. But Zhang Jike has been missing in action since 2018. Recently Zhang Jike was spotted in spectators in China marvelous 12 2020 but he has been missing in action.
