Do you know about Laver Cup in Tennis? The cup named after Tennis Legend Rod Laver, the event is an international tennis tournament between Team Europe and Team World. Now in table tennis, there is a Waldner cup in Table Tennis named after the Legend which will be held between 23-26 November, 2023.

Japanese Table Tennis player Maharu Yoshimura claimed the Men’s Singles championship title at WTT Feeder Bangkok 2023. The talented superstar has been searching for this title for quite sometime and he has finally grabbed the title in Bangkok. Maharu has gained up a 57 ranking jump and is now world rank #77.

Ma Long, has won the fifth Men’s singles title after defeating World Rank #2 Fan Zhendong in Asian Table Tennis Championship in PyeongChang, Korea. Previously Ma Long was tied with Xu Xin of China with 4 titles each. This championship event comprised a total of 7 competitions, encompassing men’s and women’s singles, doubles, teams, and mixed doubles . Overall, China claimed all the seven titles available in the Asian Championship.

Lots of exciting action happened on the 6th day of Asian Table Tennis Championships 2023, PyeongChang, Korea. The biggest upset of the tournament is Tomokazu Harimoto has already got eliminated by Afshin Norouzi of Iran. For team India, all the members are out of the tournament. 26th Asian Championships are going on in PyeongChang Korea from 3rd to 10th September 2023. For the Men’s team event, China dominated and won the gold medal after defeating Taipei team 3-0 in the final. In the women’s category, China team defeated Korean Women’s team with a 3-0 victory.

Lin Yun Ju of Taipei has won Men’s Singles title at WTT Contender, Almaty 2023. This is his first WTT title in the 2023. The current World Rank #9 has finally regained his form in this WTT Contender event. 🥇⁠

It’s the first-ever WTT medal for the super talented Anders Lind from Denmark. The WR #35 has claimed Men’s singles title in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Denmark has been a powerhouse of table tennis in past and is one of the superpowers in Badminton. With players like Jonathan Groth, Anders Lind performing at high level, Denmark is again becoming strong in table tennis.

After 100 years, the ITTF World Championships Finals will happen in 2026 in the city of London where the first World Championships happened in 1926.
