China’s Fan Zhendong is WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2023 winner in Men’s Category after defeating China’s Wang Chuqin who has been dethroned of his world rank 1. In Women’s Category, Sun Yinghsa of China took the title.

In the WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2023, Romanian Table Tennis star Bernadette Szőcs has reached the quarter-finals by defeating India’s Manika Batra in 5 set showdown. This was a spectacular match in which both players were tested to the limit.

After lifting the championship trophy at WTT Contender Durban 2023, Brazilian superstar once again lived up to expectations as top seed in Doha. Hugo Calderano of Brazil defeated Jang Woojin of South Korea in the men’s singles final match at WTT contender Doha 2023 in Doha, Qatar, Jan 21, 2023. He defeated the fifth seed Jang Woojin with three of the five games being decided by the narrowest of margins (12-10, 11-13, 11-3, 14-12, 11-7) on the final day of play at WTT Contender Doha 2023.

Brazil’s Superstar Hugo Calderano win’s first WTT title of 2023, the world rank #7 made splendid display with a winning start of WTT Contender Durban 2023. Hugo previously won WTT Star Contender Doha, 2021 and the WTT Contender Tunis, 2022.

World Table Tennis has released the calender of WTT Star Contender series for 2023 and it’s time for Indian table tennis fans to see their favorite table tennis icon in action. WTT Star Contender series 2023 first event will be hosted in Panaji, Goa of India. Panaji, the capital of Goa is awesome place to visit with mesmerizing beaches and delicious food.

The prize money of the event is 500,000$ and only the top players qualified for the champions event are allowed to participate in WTT Champions contests.
